Migrates the public Code portion of private PR https://github.com/danii1/devintern/pull/87 during the canonical repository cutover, preserving its authored history in a focused commit.
Validation
The base is the final-sync branch so this PR shows only the feature payload; retarget to main after the sync PR merges.
