Exclude specific route from body-parsersing

Hi, in the 1.X versione there is https://github.com/expressjs/body-parser/blob/1.x/lib/read.js#L45-L46

  // flag as parsed
  req._body = true

I have used this flag for exclude a specific route from body parsersing, eg.:

app.use((req, res, next) => {
      if ( /^\/api\/wopi\/files\/([a-zA-Z0-9]+)\/contents$/.test(req.path.toLowerCase()) ) {
        req['_body'] = true;
      }
      next();
});

In the 2.X version this flag disappear... How can I exclude a specific route from body parser?

_body is gone in 2.x. Skip the route instead of faking a parsed body.

const json = express.json() // or require('body-parser').json()

app.use((req, res, next) => {
  if (/^\/api\/wopi\/files\/[^/]+\/contents$/i.test(req.path)) {
    return next()
  }
  json(req, res, next)
})

Mount that before any other parser. The WOPI contents handler then reads the raw stream.

type can also be a function. If it returns false, parsing is skipped and the body is left unread:

express.json({
  type: (req) => {
    if (/^\/api\/wopi\/files\/[^/]+\/contents$/i.test(req.path)) return false
    return req.is('json')
  }
})
