Changing the docs in line with the google doc which has been reviewed by Luke and Toma

Also changing the v1.2 versioned docs since we need this change to go live on the 21st and I don't think there is a release scheduled.
I am keeping this page url named "contributions" so I tried to make redirects work - we briefly moved "contributions" into a different section so that it would not be hidden. Also I want a redirect in case anyone ever visits "rewards", so we can use that url where we want to.
