Background

I want to use a programmatic input driver in my app (see pr: nborodikhin/nextui-music-player#35) to be able to run scripts like this:

hold(L1, keep)
press(DOWN), press(DOWN)
screenshot(shots/with-l1-down.png)
release(L1)

I found a way to inject button events, but I need a NextUI API to take the screenshot, since the full screen is composed internally by NextUI.

Change

  • add PLAT_captureScreenshot() api
  • implement composition (same as PLAT_Flip()) preserving renderer state
Before (main texture only) After (full composition)
image screenshot-fixed

## Description

For reliable automated testing, the app should provide full screenshot
(currently blocked by LoveRetro/NextUI#828) and respond to standard
signals.
In case of a failure, it would be great to be able to debug the issue.

This change:
- apply a patch to the upstream to add screenshot api
- implement exit on SIGTERM, in addition to SIGINT
- adds debug/build modes
- remove test_channel from the release build
- add CLion compatibility

## Change

- `deps/patches/nextui/`:
  - add the patch, same as LoveRetro/NextUI#828
- `dev`:
  - apply the patch set after a checkout
  - record the patch set in the pin marker
- `src/Makefile`:
- add `KIND`, a per-kind object directory, link flag
`bin/<platform>/.kind`
- `Makefile`:
- add `ide` goal for CLion as it gets the compile commands from a dry
run
