I’m reaching out on behalf of OpenTeams (https://openteams.com/). We maintain MAITE-related Python packages (https://github.com/mit-ll-ai-technology/maite), including checkmaite, datamaite, and modelmaite.
We noticed that the PyPI package name checkmate appears to be associated with this project, which looks inactive for several years:

If the package is no longer maintained or needed, would you be willing to transfer the checkmate PyPI project name to us?
We’d be happy to coordinate whatever transfer process is easiest for you.
