My name is Ger from the Netherlands and listen for 45 year to the scanner.
I wil make the scanner on remote and found your artickle about Uniden to Icecast2.
Very intresting but is it possible to get the script for Python3?
Now i get a lot of error and is not easy for me to fix that.
I now use the Uniden UBC3500xlt (BR330T?) with theusb scanner to usb cable.
The error i get is:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/pi/piscannerwebcontrol/metaPy8.py", line 81, in
receiveData()
File "/home/pi/piscannerwebcontrol/metaPy8.py", line 39, in receiveData
serBuffer += nextChar
TypeError: Can't convert 'bytes' object to str implicitly
Maybe you have an newer script about remote control Uniden scanners
What do i have to change to make it work with my scanner if the script is not correct for me.
Do i have to use other test string?
How can i see if connection is oke, i use usb cable as show in attachement.
